Environmental Farm Plan Workshop: Athabasca

Event Details

Starting April 1, 2018 there will be new funding under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) (previously Growing Forward 2) for producers.

In years previous funding was available for portable wind breaks, upgrading fuel tanks, and riparian fencing for example. To get access to this funding you will need an Environmental Farm Plan (EFP). The EFP is free to obtain and is confidential.

EFPs older than 10 years will need to be renewed to get access to CAP funding.

Demand for an EFP will be extremely high once funding is announced, be prepared and beat the rush by completing or renewing your EFP this winter.

Pre-registration is required for this workshop to ensure enough materials are available for those who attend. The first workshop on March 13 is for producers updating their EFP. The second on March 14 is for producers taking the training and applying for the first time.
